Cannabis seeds for Perth growers
Perth has the best outdoor growing climate in Australia and almost nobody says so. A dry Mediterranean summer means the bud rot that defines east coast growing is essentially not your problem. Your problem is heat and water.

The best outdoor climate in Australia, and nobody says so
Perth summers are hot and genuinely dry — relative humidity through January and February frequently sits under 40% in the afternoon, and summer rainfall is close to negligible. For a flowering cannabis plant this is close to ideal. The botrytis that ruins east coast harvests needs sustained moisture in the bud, and Perth simply does not supply it.
What this buys you is genetic freedom. Dense, resinous, tightly-packed indica flowers that would be a liability in Brisbane are perfectly viable here. You can grow the strains everyone actually wants without engineering your whole season around airflow.

Heat stress and water, not mould
A run of 40°C days will stall flowering, foxtail your buds and cook roots in black pots faster than most growers expect. Afternoon shade from about 2pm is worth more than any nutrient decision you will make. Perth also runs sprinkler rosters and periodic water restrictions — plan around them, because a plant in flower does not tolerate a missed week. Mulch heavily and use light-coloured or fabric pots.

The tight bud structure that rots on the east coast is an asset in a dry climate — you get the density without the risk. This is the kind of strain Perth growers should be taking advantage of and often are not.

Maximum resin, minimum risk here

Genuinely excellent and genuinely demanding — the resin production that makes it worth growing also makes it hold moisture. In Perth that trade-off basically disappears. Give it afternoon shade and it will reward you.
Critical Purple
Handles the heat spikes

Holds up through consecutive 38–40°C days better than most, which matters in a Perth January. A sensible choice if you cannot reliably provide afternoon shade.
Where Western Australia actually sits
Cultivation and possession are offences under the WA Misuse of Drugs Act. WA operates a Cannabis Intervention Requirement scheme under which an eligible adult found with a small quantity may be required to attend an education session instead of being prosecuted — availability and eligibility are limited and at police discretion. WA law was tightened substantially in 2011, and cultivation of any number of plants is treated more seriously than simple possession. Importing seeds remains a Commonwealth offence.

Perth sits at the long end of our Australian range — 12–18 business days from dispatch, and WA regional adds more again. Distance is the trade-off for having the country’s best growing climate. Order by mid-August for a comfortable September or October sowing.
Everything goes out in plain packaging with nothing on the outside indicating the contents, and if nothing arrives within 30 days we resend once, free, without asking for evidence.

What Perth growers ask
Do I really not need to worry about bud rot in Perth?
Broadly, no — and it is the single biggest advantage you have. The exception is a late autumn finish, where an April rain event can catch a plant that is still flowering. If you sow on time and finish by early April you will rarely see it.
How much shade does a Perth plant need?
Afternoon shade from roughly 2pm through summer makes a substantial difference, particularly for anything in a pot. Full unbroken sun through a February heatwave will stall flowering and can foxtail the buds.
What about Fremantle versus the eastern suburbs?
Fremantle and coastal suburbs get the sea breeze, which takes the edge off the afternoon heat and adds a little humidity — on balance slightly easier. Midland and the eastern suburbs run several degrees hotter and drier, so shade and mulch matter more.
