About Agent Orange

Agent Orange is a Subcool creation, built at TGA Genetics from Jack the Ripper crossed with Orange Velvet. The name is about the citrus, not the colour of the buds. Break one open and you get bright fresh orange peel first, then diesel, herbal and spice sitting behind it. That orange note carries all the way through the exhale and lingers as an aftertaste, which is rarer than most seed listings would have you believe.

It is an Indica and Sativa hybrid with 22% THC and about 2% CBD, giving it a slightly fuller cannabinoid profile than most high-THC hybrids of the same era.

Growing Agent Orange Feminized Seeds in Canada

These are photoperiod feminized seeds. Plants veg indefinitely under 18 hours of light and only begin flowering once you drop to a 12/12 cycle, which puts final plant size entirely under your control. That matters in a Canadian indoor setup, where tent height is usually the limiting factor. Agent Orange is naturally on the shorter side and does not stretch aggressively after the flip, so it suits low-ceiling basements and closet grows in older housing stock.

Flowering takes 55 to 65 days. Yields are solid at roughly 500 g/m² indoors and around 500 g per plant outdoors when the plant has root room and a full season. Being a photoperiod, an outdoor run is governed by natural day length, so in most of Canada it starts flowering in August and finishes late September into October. Growers in Ontario and Quebec should watch the last few weeks closely, and anyone in the Fraser Valley or on the Island will want a greenhouse or a poly cover to keep autumn rain off the flowers.

The strain has good pest resistance, which makes outdoor and greenhouse work considerably less stressful. It responds well to topping and low-stress training if you want to widen the canopy, and the compact frame means a single SCROG net is usually enough. Overall it is one of the easier photoperiods to keep healthy and a fair choice for someone stepping up from autoflowers to their first 12/12 run.

What to Expect

Onset is fast. Many growers describe the character as energetic, happy and euphoric, with a bright trippy edge in the first twenty to forty minutes that settles into something more sociable. It is an active, get-things-done sort of hybrid rather than a couch strain, and appetite tends to pick up sharply. As with most Sativa-leaning cultivars, dry mouth is common and it is worth going slowly if you are sensitive to strong THC.
