About A-Train
Cross Mazar-i-Sharif, a hashplant line built for resin, with Arcata E32 Trainwreck and you get A-Train: a balanced 50% Indica / 50% Sativa hybrid that has been a dispensary staple in North America for years. The flavour is the reason most growers come back to it. Think fresh-cut grass and pinecone, earthy and green rather than sweet, with a savoury edge on the exhale that makes it stand apart from the candy-terpene strains crowding the market.
The aroma leans savoury and appetising rather than floral. Cannabinoid content sits at roughly 21% THC with CBD well under 1%, so this is a potency-forward hybrid rather than a balanced-cannabinoid one.
Growing A-Train Feminized Seeds in Canada
These are photoperiod feminized seeds, which means the plants stay in vegetative growth until you cut the light back to 12 hours on, 12 hours off. That switch is the whole advantage: you decide how long to veg, so you decide the final size of the plant. Two weeks of veg gives you a tidy plant for a small tent in a Toronto condo; six or eight weeks gives you a structure capable of filling a 4×4.
A-Train throws long, thin-branched plants with plenty of internodal space. That structure takes training well. Top it early, tie the branches down with LST, or run a SCROG net to even out the canopy and push light into the lower sites. Intermediate growers will get more out of it than first-timers, mainly because the stretch after the flip needs to be planned for.
Indoors under controlled conditions it will finish around 350 g/m². Outdoors, well-fed plants can produce over 350 g per plant. Canadian outdoor growers should note the 8 to 10 week flowering window and count backwards from first frost. In the Okanagan or southern Ontario a mid-July flip in a greenhouse lands the harvest comfortably. On the prairies, a polytunnel or hoop house is the safer bet for holding the heat through cooler September nights. The open structure of the plant helps air move through the canopy, which is worth having during a damp coastal BC autumn.
What to Expect
Onset is quick and the duration is moderate. Many growers describe A-Train as an even, full-bodied hybrid effect rather than a one-sided head or body experience, and plenty report it suits creative sessions and unwinding at the end of the day. The pinecone-and-grass profile carries through into hash and rosin nicely if you press the trichome-heavy buds.
We ship A-Train feminized seeds discreetly to every province and territory in Canada.
