Alpine Star came out of Mendocino stock and earned its reputation in Michigan, where Detroit growers kept it alive. Genetically it is Tahoe OG crossed with Sensi Star, an 80% Indica-dominant plant carrying roughly 24% THC alongside a moderate CBD level. The flowers are small and light green, wrapped in orange pistils and a heavy frost of trichomes over darker green leaf.

The effect follows the Indica lean: heavy, physically relaxing, and quick to arrive, holding on for several hours. Many growers report it works best in the evening, though the Sativa side keeps it from being a complete write-off during the day. At this potency it pays to start with a small amount and work up.

Growing Alpine Star Autoflower Seeds

This is a ruderalis-influenced autoflowering line, so the plant starts flowering on age rather than on any change to your light schedule. It is not the most forgiving plant in the tent, so the usual auto discipline matters more than usual here: germinate directly into the final container, avoid transplant shock, feed lightly for the first fortnight, and skip topping entirely. An auto that stalls in week three cannot make up the lost time later. Keep root temperatures steady and the medium airy and this strain rewards you.

Because the cycle is short and self-timing, outdoor Canadian growers can stagger sowings and pull two runs off a single summer, or slot plants onto a balcony where a photoperiod plant would never finish before the light drops off.
